에스더 4:14

이때에 네가 만일 잠잠하여 말이 없으면 

유다인은 다른 데로 말미암아 놓임과 구원을 얻으려니와 

너와 네 아버지 집은 멸망하리라 네가 왕후의 자리를 

얻은 것이 이때를 위함이 아닌지 누가 알겠느냐 하니

에스더 4:16

당신은 가서 수산에 있는 유다인을 다 모으고 나를 위하여 금식하되 

밤낮 삼 일을 먹지도 말고 마시지도 마소서 

나도 나의 시녀와 더불어 이렇게 금식한 후에 규례를 어기고 

왕에게 나아가리니 죽으면 죽으리이다 하니라

에스더 9:22

이달 이날에 유다인들이 대적에게서 벗어나서 

평안함을 얻어 슬픔이 변하여 기쁨이 되고 애통이 변하여 

길한 날이 되었으니 이 두 날을 지켜 잔치를 베풀고 즐기며 

서로 예물을 주며 가난한 자를 구제하라 하매

잠언 10:19

말이 많으면 허물을 면하기 어려우나

그 입술을 제어하는 자는 지혜가 있느니라

잠언 10:22

여호와께서 주시는 복은 사람을 부하게 하고 

근심을 겸하여 주지 아니하시느니라

Esther 4:14

For if you keep silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’ house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?

Esther 4:16

“Go, gather all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants also will fast in the same way. And then I will go in to the king, which is not in accordance with the law; and if I perish, I perish.”

Esther 9:22

because on those days the Jews rid themselves of their enemies, and it was a month which was turned for them from grief into joy, and from mourning into a holiday; that they were to make them days of feasting and rejoicing, and sending portions of food to one another, and gifts to the poor.
